Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you (whether personally or on behalf of an entity) and the Ex-Shaheen Association of North America (ESDANA), governing your access to and use of the esdana.us website, member portals, and any affiliated web applications or community services.

By registering for an account, browsing content, attending events, donating, or posting on the community feed, you expressly agree that you have read, understood, and consented to these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the platform.

ESDANA is primarily an exclusive alumni and community network for former students, teachers, administrators, and associates of BAF Shaheen College and Shaheen Schools residing in or connected with North America (United States, Canada, and Mexico).

• Alumni Verification: Registration requires honest disclosure of your Shaheen Batch, House, educational details, and contact information.
• Maintainer Approval: New registrations may be subject to review by ESDANA designated maintainers or community moderators prior to full platform directory access.
• Age Requirement: Users must be at least 16 years of age or the age of majority in their jurisdiction to create an account independently.

When creating your ESDANA profile, you agree to maintain the security and accuracy of your account information:

• Confidentiality: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and password.
• Account Activity: You accept full responsibility for all activities, posts, messages, and listings initiated through your registered account.
• Unauthorized Access: You agree to notify ESDANA administrators immediately upon discovering any unauthorized access, security breach, or compromised login credentials.

The ESDANA platform is founded upon the traditions of camaraderie, mutual respect, and professional networking. Members are strictly prohibited from engaging in:

• Harassment, bullying, defamation, hateful speech, bigotry, or personal attacks against any member or group.
• Posting unsolicited advertisements, spam, pyramid schemes, or unapproved commercial solicitations.
• Publishing false, misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive statements in feeds, job posts, or classified ads.
• Distributing malicious code, attempting SQL injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), or interfering with platform infrastructure.
• Harvesting, scraping, or mass-collecting fellow alumni contact details (emails, phone numbers) for unauthorized external mailing lists.

Members may share updates, photos, career opportunities, and classified items:

• Content Ownership: You retain ownership of intellectual property in the content and media you publish on ESDANA. By posting, you grant ESDANA a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute your post within the platform according to your chosen privacy settings.
• Classifieds & Jobs: ESDANA acts purely as a community bulletin board for alumni job vacancies and peer-to-peer classified listings. ESDANA is not a party to transactions, does not broker sales, and accepts no liability for employment disputes or goods exchanged.
• Moderation Rights: ESDANA maintains the right to review, edit, reject, or remove any feed item, job post, or classified listing that violates platform standards.

ESDANA coordinates community reunions, webinars, sports tournaments, charitable giving drives, and sponsorship programs:

• Voluntary Donations: Contributions to alumni welfare funds, school development, scholarships, or crisis causes are voluntary and non-refundable unless otherwise required by law.
• Event Participation: Attendees of ESDANA in-person and virtual events are expected to follow local laws and venue regulations. ESDANA reserves the right to deny admission to disorderly individuals.
• Sponsorship Transparency: Corporate and individual sponsors will be acknowledged in accordance with published tier guidelines (Platinum, Gold, Silver, Community).

The ESDANA name, logo, eagle emblem, portal design, source code, UI components, and branding assets are the property of ESDANA and are protected by applicable trademark and copyright laws. You may not reproduce, adapt, or distribute ESDANA branding without prior written authorization.

The ESDANA platform is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. ESDANA does not warrant that:

• The service will be completely uninterrupted, secure, or error-free at all times.
• Information provided by members in profiles or listings is fully vetted, accurate, or complete.

To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, ESDANA, its executive board, maintainers, volunteers, and partners shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the platform or peer interactions.
