Official account and personal data deletion policy for members of the Ex-Shaheen Association of North America (ESDANA). You retain full authority over your data at all times.
Privacy Commitment & Data Ownership
At ESDANA (Ex-Shaheen Association of North America), you have full ownership and control over your personal identity and community data. In strict compliance with Google Play's User Data policy and Apple App Store guidelines, every member has the right to permanently delete their account and associated personal data at any time.
You can execute this deletion directly within the mobile app in seconds, or submit a manual deletion request via our technical support team if you no longer have access to the mobile app.
Method 1: Delete Directly from the Mobile App (Instant)
You can permanently delete your account and all profile records instantly from inside the ESDANA mobile application (Android / iOS):
- Open the App: Launch the ESDANA mobile app and ensure you are logged into your account.
- Go to Menu: Tap on the Menu tab located on the bottom navigation bar.
- Open Settings: From Settings & support
- Select Delete Account: Scroll down to the Account management section and tap Delete account.
- Confirm Security: Enter your Current Password to verify your identity.
- Finalize Deletion: Tap Delete permanently to confirm your request.
Method 2: Request Deletion via Email / Web Support
If you have uninstalled the ESDANA app, lost access to your device, or are unable to log in, you can submit a manual deletion request directly to our technical support team:

Required Verification Details: Please provide your registered Full Name, Email Address, and Batch Year / House Name to verify account ownership.
Our technical team will verify your ownership and process the complete, permanent removal of your account within 7 business days. You will receive a final confirmation email once the deletion is complete.
What Data Gets Permanently Deleted?
When an account deletion is executed, the following categories of personal data are permanently and irreversibly purged from our live databases:
Profile & Identity
Full Name, email address, mobile number, alumni batch year, assigned house, occupation, and biography.
Photos & Media
Profile avatar photo, background cover banners, and all user-uploaded gallery pictures and event attachments.
Community Activity
Community feed posts, comments, likes, connection requests, and RSVP event responses.
Device & Tokens
Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) push notification tokens, active Sanctum authentication tokens, and session history.
Data Retention Exceptions
In accordance with statutory regulations, certain records cannot be immediately expunged:
- Financial & Tax Compliance: Donation transaction receipts and financial ledger entries are retained securely for the statutory timeframe required by tax laws and non-profit financial audit standards.
- Legal & Security Obligations: Records required to defend legal claims, prevent fraud, or adhere to valid court orders are preserved in encrypted archives strictly for the duration mandated by law.
